Hi, my name is Matt, founder of SOE Expeditions.
SOE Expeditions was born from a deep passion for preserving the stories of the brave men and women who carried out Special Operations behind enemy lines during WW2.
After 22 years of military service, I was fortunate to meet remarkable individuals such as Joachim Rønneberg and Claus Helberg, the legendary saboteurs of Operation Gunnerside.
Their courage and humility left a lasting impression, inspiring me to create SOE Expeditions, a way to honour their legacy and keep their memories alive by walking in the footsteps of those who dared to make history.
From ski touring across the Hardangervidda, to wreck diving off the coast of Greece; from abseiling like the Commandos in the Scottish Highlands, to spending a night under the desert stars like the SAS and LRDG of old.
